People
Find players, read their timeline, edit their properties, add them to cohorts or delete them.
The People section is where your players live:
- Persons: every player who sent an event, with profiles and timelines (this page).
- Cohorts: saved groups of players, such as power players or repeat buyers.
- Groups: one page per group type, such as Clans.
What a person is
A person is everyone behind one set of ids. For a Roblox player that's their UserId, so every session on every device is already one profile. Events from a website or bot with the same id join it too (see Players and properties). They count once in every chart, and their history stays complete.
Find someone
People → Persons lists everyone, newest first. Each row shows their Roblox avatar, name, an identified or anon badge, event count and last seen.
- Search by username, display name or UserId.
- Pick a cohort in the dropdown to show only its members.
A person's profile
Click a person to open their profile:
- Stats: total events, first and last seen, and how many cohorts they're in.
- Player summary (with Game analytics on): first and last played, a playing now badge while they're in game, sessions, playtime, days active, average session, Robux spent and purchases, platform, country, language, first join source and campaign, and the update they started on. Counted the same way as Game analytics.
- Roblox profile: a link to
roblox.com/users/<UserId>/profile, for players who have played. - Timeline: every event, newest first, including their sessions, purchases and your own events. Click an event to see its properties.
- Properties: what the module sets (name, platform, Premium, account age, country), what you set with
setUserProperties, and first-touch details like the first join source and campaign. - Distinct ids: every id linked to this person.
- Cohorts and Groups they belong to.
- Feedback they sent, in the timeline.
Click the ★ to pin a player to your sidebar, such as a tester or a top spender.
Avatars
Players show their Roblox avatar headshot (150×150) in the list and on their profile. RoChart looks them up on the server from Roblox's public thumbnails API, by UserId, and keeps them for 6 hours. Only UserIds of players in the project are looked up. If Roblox doesn't answer, the player keeps their initial.
Demo players (person property demo_player: true) never get an avatar or a profile link: demo data uses random UserIds, which may belong to real Roblox users.
Edit properties
On the Properties tab you can add, change or remove a property. Values like 42, true or ["a","b"] are stored as numbers, booleans or lists; anything else is stored as text.
This is handy for fixing data and for testing: set level to 50 on your own profile and check that a flag for high-level players switches on. The next update from your game overwrites the same property. Edits show up in the activity log with who made them.
Add to a cohort
Add to cohort adds the person to a static cohort. Dynamic cohorts update themselves from their rules, so you can't add people to them by hand.
Delete a person
⋯ → Delete person removes the profile, properties and ids. It can't be undone. Their past events stay but no longer link to a profile. If the same id sends events again, a new person is created, so to stop tracking a player, also stop sending their events (skip them in your code). See Privacy.
