Project settings
Name, picture, timezone, members and invites, products, data collection and your sidebar.
Click the project name at the top of the sidebar and choose Project settings. On a phone, tap the project name at the top of the screen first. You can also search for "settings" with ⌘K.
Settings are split into General, Members, Products, Data collection and API keys & MCP. Your own account (profile, sign-in and sessions) sits in the same list, under Your account.
Changes save as you make them: a name saves when you press Enter or click away, and a Saved label confirms it. Anything that can't be undone asks you to confirm first.
Name, picture and timezone
General. The timezone decides where hours, days, weeks and months start in every chart, and what "today" means on Game analytics. Changing it applies to all existing data right away.
Picture: click the project's icon or drop an image on it, then drag and zoom to frame it. It's saved as a small square image and shown in the sidebar, the project switcher and on invite pages. Remove brings back the generated pattern.
Members and invites
Members, or Invite people in the project menu. People belong to the organization, so a member can open every project in it, not just this one.
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Member | Use every project: data, insights, dashboards, settings. |
| Admin | Also invite people, change roles and remove members. |
| Owner | Also manage other owners. |
To invite someone:
- Click Invite people, enter their email and pick a role.
- Copy the invite link and send it to them yourself. RoChart doesn't email it.
- They open the link, sign in or create an account with that email, and land in this project.
Links work once and expire after 7 days. Under Pending invites you can copy a link again, create a new link (the old one stops working) or revoke it. Invites, joins, role changes and removals show up in Activity.
Instances where sign-up is turned off still accept invites: an invite link is the only way to create a new account there.
API keys aren't people. Agents and scripts use API keys, which belong to one project.
Project token
Data collection → Project token. The token (rc_…) goes in your game's RoChart.init. It can send events, evaluate feature flags and submit feedback, but it can't read any data.
Rotate token issues a new one, and requests with the old token stop working within a minute. Publish your place with the new token first if you can't afford a gap; running servers keep the old one until they shut down.
Products
Products switches whole products on or off for everyone in the project:
| Product | Can switch off | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Product analytics | No | Includes people, cohorts, groups and dashboards. |
| Game analytics | Yes | |
| Feature flags | Yes | Experiments need it. |
| Experiments | Yes | Needs Feature flags. |
| Feedback | Yes | Submissions are still accepted while it's off. |
| Alerts | Yes | Alerts stop checking while it's off. |
| Destinations | Yes | Nothing is forwarded while it's off. |
A product that's off disappears from the sidebar and from your agents' tools. Events keep being collected, so switching it back on shows the full history. With Feature flags off, every flag reads as unknown in your game, so your code takes its default path.
Pageview autocapture
For websites, the browser SDK captures pageviews by default. To turn it off, pass autocapturePageviews: false to init. See the SDK reference.
API keys
API keys & MCP creates secret keys for agents and scripts. See API keys.
Your sidebar
The sidebar is personal. Click the edit button next to the search box to:
- star pages to pin them under Favourites. Insights, dashboards, cohorts, flags, experiments, persons and groups also have a ★ on their own page.
- reorder favourites. Your first favourites become the tab bar on your phone.
- hide pages you don't use.
This only changes your own sidebar. To remove a product for everyone, use Products.
Delete a project
General → Danger zone → Delete project. Type the project name in the dialog to confirm. This deletes the project's insights, dashboards, cohorts, flags and experiments, and it can't be undone.
